ICEYE is building and operating its own commercial constellation of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellites with SAR data already available to customers. These satellites can take images of Earth at any time – even when it’s cloudy or dark. Information derived from these images will help our customers understand the world better and help them make more intelligent decisions. We launched the world’s first SAR microsatellite in January 2018 and have raised $65M in financing to date.

To support the growth of the company, we are now looking for a SAR Production Operator to support our Customer Success team based in Warsaw, Poland for 1 year.

As a SAR Production Operator you will:

  • Monitor the SAR images production chain from acquisition to delivery, take corrective & preventive action to ensure nominal operations and/or rapid recovery from system downtime
  • Provide production chain statistics and performance analysis against the key performance indicators
  • Perform quality control of end products and investigate the source of potential defects
  • Champion system improvements by identifying system requirements/use cases for new tools and developing scripts
  • Collaborate cross-team in support of the development of new products

Your attributes that we need:

  • Education: BSc degree in science: Remote Sensing, geoinformatics and familiar with subjects such as signal treatment, processes and automation, statistics
  • Background in SAR data treatment
  • At ease with new tools/software (SaVoir, QGIS, SNAP)
  • Scripting and coding capabilities (Python)
  • Familiar with libraries: GDAL, OTB, SNAP, OGC
  • Cultural fit needed to work in a global/remote-team environment
  • Excellent knowledge of English (both written and oral)
  • Advanced troubleshooting and multitasking skills in a fast-paced working environment

Your extra ones:

  • Code maintenance (git, bitbucket)
  • Familiar with geo database structure
